The idea of Alamba comes from an Indonesian clothing called Sarung worn on the lower half of the body. Sarung is a large length of fabric worn by overlaping it around the waist without securing it with fastener. The motion of overlaping the fabric was the main idea for the sofa where the top layer is left hanging and not tucked in. The sofa is designed to minimise the use of materials to escape from the perception of a sofa being bulky.
It is part of New Age Luxury Collection by Alvin Tjitrowirjo.
