After winning “Best of Show” award for our collaboration with Dawson Design Associates last year, Saniharto decided to collaborate with another designer for this year’s booth. This time Saniharto wanted to collaborate with an Indonesian team therefore we chose to work with Francine Lestari Interior Design in collaboration with Sandy Karman and Jenggala Ceramic to create a vision for the booth.
Francine Denise together with Mudita Lestari and their teams at Francine Lestari was given the chance to explore 3 different rooms with the standard of a 5 star hotel; two being bedrooms and one being a bar. The freedom of exploring exotic veneer and exquisite workmanship from Saniharto gave Francine Lestari a concept that is elegant and warm throughout all the rooms. Contrasting the veneer finishes creates a diverse ambiance in each room. With carefully selected artworks from Sandy Karman and accessories by Jenggala Ceramic, the Indonesian heritage with a modern feel was achieved. The first bedroom is designed to amplify the luxurious veneer collection in a grander way. The furniture was designed to represent simplicity that is combined with rich colored fabrics. The combination of high gloss and matte finished veneer gave the contrast that was envisioned. The second bedroom is more towards the casual and resort feel. With a lighter tone of veneers and fabric selection, Francine Lestari wanted to show a different way of elegance. The bar being a transitional and communal area serves its tone for both bedrooms.
